Join us for an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Class.
This course is designed to teach entry-level construction workers about workplace safety-specifically for the construction industry. Students will learn about hazard recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention.
In addition to learning about safety and health hazards in the workplace, students also learn about OSHA, employer responsibilities and worker rights. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers, to reduce injuries and save lives. Workers must receive additional site specific training where required by OSHA standards. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive an official OSHA/ DOL wallet card within 6-8 weeks.
Course Topics: Introduction to OSHA, Focus Four Hazards - Fall Hazards, Electrocutions, Caught In-or-Between Hazards, Struck by Hazards, Personal Protective Equipment, Health Hazards in Construction, Stairways & Ladders, and Tools - both Hand & Power Tools.
Minimum number of attendees needed to hold the class is 10. Maximum number of attendees is 25.
The trainer for this course is an NVBIA Member Stacy Skinner - Scs Safety Health & Security Associates.
