Environmental Scientist

Environmental Consultants and Contractors, Inc., (ECC) a full-service environmental consulting firm in its 40th year of providing environmental services in the metropolitan Washington, DC, area seeks dedicated, intelligent, and energetic individuals to join our team of environmental professionals.

ECC has immediate openings for environmental technicians, scientists, and engineers. ECC will consider entry level candidates with strong writing, research, and project management skills, as well as individuals with experience writing Phase I and II ESA’s and conducting environmental field work. Successful applicants will be involved in all aspects of environmental consulting, including field activities and report preparation for site assessments/investigations, corrective actions, risk analyses, and industrial hygiene services.

Responsibilities may include but won't be limited to:

  • Performing soil, soil-gas, groundwater, and industrial hygiene sampling
  • Conducting site reconnaissance and historical property use research
  • Supporting senior staff members in project implementation
  • Performing environmental monitoring of construction activities
  • Preparing Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, Site Characterization, and Monitoring reports

Position Requirements:

Qualified candidates will possess a degree in one or more of the following areas: geology, environmental science, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related work experience. ECC seeks both entry-level applicants and experienced environmental professionals. Candidates must possess strong organization, analytic, writing, and communication skills, and must work well both independently and on project teams.
